Just 8 km from the cottage, discover one of the most beautiful villages in France: La Garde Guérin, a true treasure of Lozère.
Around Villefort, in the Cévennes, you can explore a multitude of castles, including the Château du Champ and the Château du Castanet, which bear witness to local history. Don’t miss a stop at Pied de Borne, where you can admire the hydroelectric plant and discover the picturesque villages in the surrounding area.
The local markets are also a must. Every Thursday morning and Monday evening during the season, stroll through the aisles of the Villefort market to taste regional specialties: cheeses, sweet onions from the Cévennes, chestnut honey, Cèpes du Mont Lozère, and many other delicacies. On Saturday mornings, the large Vans market, with its typical Provençal flavours and aromas, will offer you not only local products but also oils and olives with the characteristic aromas of our region.

The marina of Lake Villefort, with its slipway, provides access to various boats: fishing boats, motor boats and sailboats.
